Hi, friends! This mural, on the facade of the City-As-School, a public school in Manhattan's West Village, portraits five real immigrants who arrived in New York about 100 years ago and had been to Ellis Island, an entry point of foreigners who came to the United States between the late 19th century and the early 20th century. With 8,600 square feet (800 square meters), this piece is the largest of the entire 'Colors For Freedom' series. Fun fact: this is the school where the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat went. #ellisisland
