Created by designer Cheryl Nieder and woodworker Nick Osbourne in Baltimore in the USA, For The Host designs and makes the types of gifts any host would love to receive.

“We started our handcrafted home and office accessory business when Cheryl decided to make her mom the perfect Christmas gift rather than buy something off a retail shelf,” says Nick on Etsy.

You can shop from a list of homeware items, from stunning geometric ombre-patterned breakfast trays to Scandi-inspired kitchen accessories. Inspired by simple everyday items, all the pieces are designed and hand-made by the pair.

“We find joy in combining raw wood with bright, bold, geometric colors while keeping functionality in mind,” says Nick. The simple designs are available in a range of pretty pastel shades, including soft green, pink, yellow, peach, blue, grey and white.
