This kitchen, a product of the close collaboration between Officine Gullo and renowned interior designer Cindy Rinfret of Rinfret Ltd, perfectly embodies the elegant, eclectic, and iconic style of the owners. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to reflect the tastes and personal needs of Tommy Hilfiger and his family.

The centrepiece of this impressive kitchen is the Officine Gullo OG Professional cooking range. It features an electric pasta cooker, four burners, a fry top, and an electric oven, providing advanced functionality while serving as a focal point of the design. This enhances the kitchen’s contemporary and sophisticated look. Above the cooking range is a pyramid-shaped professional hood, accompanied by satin nickel shelves. In the background, a stunning marble wall with a satin nickel border completes the space’s aesthetic.

In front of the cooking area, two large work islands enhance the kitchen’s practicality and versatility. With generous worktops, these islands provide ample space for preparing elaborate dishes or hosting friends during special occasions, thanks to the side seating. The first island measures 1.65 meters long and includes concealed storage modules. The second island stretches over 5 meters and features storage compartments, drawers, and a cantilevered countertop to accommodate stools. At both ends of the island, glass-fronted display cabinets add an extra touch of elegance.

The kitchen features well-designed walls that maximize both space and functionality. Luxury Italian kitchen brand, Officine Gullo, has opened its first South African showroom on Strand Street in the heart of Cape Town. To celebrate the launch, the showroom will also serve as an ICTAF exhibition space for Southern Guild showcasing the work of local artist Conrad Hicks.

Officine Gullo‘s first showroom on South African soil, which opened its doors on 15 February, is expected to quickly establish itself as a destination for members of the local design community and professionals in the luxury interior industry. The new showroom will not only be an important showcase for the South African market, but it will also represent a strategic location of great importance for the rest of Africa, where industry professionals can meet and exchange ideas.

“Besides being one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town is globally recognised as a contemporary design hub, making it a desirable destination for Officine Gullo,” says Andrea Gullo, General Director, Officine Gullo.

To celebrate the opening and their partnership with the Investec Cape Town Art Fair, Officine Gullo has collaborated with Southern Guild to showcase the work of critically-acclaimed artist and blacksmith Conrad Hicks.

Traditional style and high-end kitchen design come together in Officine Gullo‘s latest project – the renovation of a grand Medieval villa in Sweden.

Refine Design Studio and Himlekök were called in to renovate Villa Lumos – a magnificent 12th-century Swedish villa located on the shores of Stockholm’s Archipelago. The owner’s love to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so they wanted to create a space that could be the true heart of the home and a place the family could gather. The interior architects and designers used Officine Gullo’s timeless Restart collection to transform the villa’s outdated kitchen into a luxurious blue ‘country-style’ cooking area. The shades blue – a recurring colour theme throughout the house – are warmed by luxurious brass details.

The Restart double oven used in the kitchen renovation perfectly matches the eclectic and elegant design of the house – it is painted in Graphite Grey with a mat finish and burnished brass details. The retro-style embellished brass door is a perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary elegance. The appliance features a double oven, a main electric oven and a second mini-oven with grill and rotisserie and an induction hob. A custom-made hood made entirely of steel was also installed to complement the space. Its elegant burnished brass edges harmonise perfectly with the kitchen’s suspended light fixtures.

“We wanted to create a rustic family kitchen with lots of space and luxury details. For the kitchen, the heart of the home, we wanted to harmonise the choice of materials and colours with the house’s location in the Stockholm archipelago, and we knew right away that shades of blue would be the best choice, especially in combination with the warmth of the brass details,” says Natalie Strömberg, Interior Architect & Creative Director at Refine Design Studio.

“Craftsmanship was the keyword in the creation of the entire kitchen. We wished to create a kitchen from scratch where each component would be unique and tailor- made for the client. We wanted to recreate a rural atmosphere in which the stove and hood would fit with the industrial look of the light fixtures suspended above the kitchen island.”

The stoves of the Officine Gullo Restart collection, available in four models, are designed to fit into any kitchen and create unique environments. Each creation is exclusive and designed to meet the needs of the client, customisable in colours and finishes.

The Contemporanea Collection is a modern take on Officine Gullo’s iconic kitchens.

At its core, the Contemporanea Collection is a celebration of design, craftsmanship, technology and modern luxury. What makes this metallic-centric collection unique is the choice of materials from which they are crafted: steel is the only material used, alongside brass which comes in various finishes. This is a contemporary and curated concept for steel connoisseurs who understand the material’s aesthetic and functional value.

Technology is at the heart of this Contemporanea Collection – the technology used to paint the kitchen structure is the same used in the car world: powder coating. The result is a water-resistant robust paint that withstands impact much more than traditional paints.

The kitchen structure can be crafted in any colour on the RAL chart, in addition to customised shades available on request. A spectrum of finishes is available for the brass details, too: from classic galvanic finishes, including polished chrome, black or satin-finish nickel, to coloured touches for a tone-on-tone effect or as a contrast with the colour of the structure. Synonymous of strength, this material stays the same over time, resistant to bacteria and heat, and practical in terms of everyday management. Marble epitomises elegance. It provides immediate beauty, regardless of the space, and is resistant to impact, cuts and abrasions. Marble endures over time and remains extremely hygienic.

The furnishings have pure aesthetic and functional value with straightforward, contemporary forms in which every element is designed – and arranged in the space – to be functional and practical. The thin multifunctional push-pull drawer, a constant throughout the collection, conceals functional accessories such as chopping boards and partitions. The edges are perfectly smooth and the corners rounded due to the detail-oriented craftsmanship, while screws and joints are hidden for an impeccable finish. Walnut or oak wooden containers are available to keep cutlery, utensils and knifes tidy, as well as glass jars for spices and bottles. Renaissance-inspired hinges have been removed from the Contemporanea Collection kitchen and replaced with a slow soft-close system on the doors.

The innovative top contains a groove, which conceals a LED that can be controlled remotely from a smartphone or tablet. The handles are crafted to conceal doors and drawers in the upper section of the kitchen.
