100% Cotton Bull Denim 280gsm terracotta with a trendy pink screen print. The bag features 100% cotton natural webbing details with a brass YKK zip and unlined interior. Length of bag is 55cm. Height when bag is in use is 26cm as well as width/depth being 26cm. Machine wash on delicate cycle.

1. Zana Duffel Bags

Zana has just released a new range of duffel bags in four of its signature fabrics. Perfect as a weekender, the bags, which are designed, printed and made in Cape Town, are sturdy and made with expert craftsmanship, supporting local makers.

2. terraplanter Hydroponic Planter

Inspired by nature and technology, the terraplanter gives plants constant exposure to air and water and is completely reusable and transportable. It’s made from 100% natural materials, giving your plants the perfect environment to thrive indoors.

3. Wanderland Collective Notebooks

4. Temporary Tea House Made From Washi Paper

Named “Shi-an” and created entirely from traditional Japanese washi paper, this temporary tea house was designed by Katagiri Architecture + Design and Akinori Inuzuka Design. The modular structure is constructed by slotting the paper together instead of using glue.

AKJP

Fashion designer Keith Henning (Adriaan Kuiters) and artist Jody Paulsen joined forces to start this creative collective.

Amy Ayanda

Based in Cape Town, artist and musician Amy Ayanda creates beautiful artworks and clothing.

Atang Tshikare

Through collaborations with various product designers, Atang has become a household name when it comes to surface design.

Arkivio

Asha:Eleven

Crystal Birch

In 2018, she became a director of the 82-year-old hat factory, Parisian Milliners, where her unstoppable energy is directing the business into the 21st century while retaining its hand-made charm.

Hoi P’loy is a vintage lighting company based in Cape Town. The brand was created as a play on the Ancient Greek expression ‘Hoi Polloi’ as well as the name of company co-founder, Ploy Phiromnam.

Houtlander

Headed up by furniture makers Phillip Hollander and Stephen Wilson, Houtlander’s pieces draw on Scandinavian traditions. All made of oak, a durable wood with a lovely grain, Houtlander’s designs are minimalist, functional and sturdy.

Imiso Ceramics

With her hand-pinched collection and his pieces inspired by influences as varied as the works of Picasso and the practice of body scarification, co-founders Zizipho Poswa and Andile Dyalvane continue to raise the bar for ceramics in SA.

I Scream and Red

Cape Town-based designer and entrepreneur Zaid Philander is changing the world “one stitch at a time”.

Ithaca Fine Homeware

The simple pleasure of sleeping under exquisite bed linen is unsurpassed. Mantua Silkwear scarves, which are locally crafted in Stellenbosch, aim to transcend trends, creating designs that are multifunctional, versatile and not limited to a particular season. Cape Town-based textile brand Zana recently launched a new collection of screen-printed accessories, including yoga mat bags, backpacks and moon bags.

“With this collection I wanted to steer clear of the geometrics we have done for the last number of years and explore where our style could meet something softer and more organic,” says co-founder Robyn Britz. “We aren’t quite a floral brand so I decided to go with simplified organic shapes and name the signature pattern of this collection Stem.”

Moving away from bold geometric patterns, the range also features a subtle “Confetti” design, as well as colourful prints on colourful fabrics.

The yoga mat bag is a nifty way to transport your mat to and from classes. “It’s spacious, easy to carry and I am so happy with how it came out,” says Robyn. The colourful moon bags and hassle-free cotton backpacks are perfect for when you’re on the go.

The three new products are all available in Zana’s classic monochrome format. The yoga mat bag retails at R650, the moon bags at R350 and the backpacks at R550.
