WOMAG is at the leading edge of digital inkjet 3D technology in the manufacture of porcelain tiles. Four collections superbly illustrate how durability and beauty can be combined in a tile.

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, WOMAG unveiled four large-format porcelain tile collections, which demonstrate the depth in design offered by advanced digital inkjet printing technology. Imported from Spain and Italy, the tiles look so much like real marble and wood that they can fool even the trained eye, says Oren Sachs, MD of WOMAG.

White marble has made a big comeback, he says, so WOMAG expects the Touché Super Blanco Gris collection to be a winner. The tile features an ultra-white surface with classic marble-effect patterns and a high-gloss finish. Marmara Blanco Plus Natural pays tribute to ivory-white marble with delicate veins.

The Mamawood collection features matte-finish indoor tiles that mimic distressed wood with faded paint. It comes in three colour ways: Antique White, Old Grey and Old Teak. And Fusion Iris Natural with its blue and oxidised iron aesthetic is proving to be a popular choice for use in swimming pools.

WOMAG’s new porcelain tiles look decidedly upmarket, yet the price point is far more reasonable than that of their natural counterparts – ask anyone who is partial to marble from Italy’s famed quarries.
