With its sleek design, wireless charging technology and state-of-the-art camera, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 is everything you want in a phone.

Made from a combination of matte aluminium (which is 1.5x stronger than any smartphone metal) and 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4, the design is focused not only on style, but on durability, quality and performance.

The F1.9 lenses (found on the front and rear cameras) will maximise light to ensure your photos are 2x brighter than what you experienced with the Samsung Galaxy S5. The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 16MP rear camera for the highest quality images, as well as real-time HDR to add clarity and detail to your outdoor shots. Bonus: the camera launches in 0.7 seconds, ensuring you never miss an important moment.

Charging technology has improved (33% faster charging time than the Samsung Galaxy S5), with 10 minutes of direct power adapter charging allowing for 4 hours of use. The Samsung Galaxy S6 also makes use of wireless charging technology, making life on the go a whole lot easier. All you need to do is place your phone onto a wireless charger and charging will begin.

With Quad HD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display (which reproduces more than 90% of nature’s colour palette), the 64-bit Samsung Galaxy S6 comes complete with an enhanced GPU and LPDDR4 memory system to guarantee superior performance.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge showcases the world’s first dual edge display glass that is thermoformed to create an integrated edge screen. The curved sides allow for better grip and an enhanced viewing experience. At 142.1mm (H) x 70.1mm (W) and 7.0mm (T), this 132g model is slightly lighter than the S6.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Specifications:

Dimensions: 143.4mm (H) x 70.5mm (W) x 6.8mm (T)

Weight: 138g

Camera: 5MP/F1.9/Real-time HDR front camera / 16MP/F1.9/Real-time HDR/VOIS rear camera

OS: Android 5.0 (Lollipop)

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl and Gold Platinum.

In an age when everyone owns either an iPhone or a Blackberry, one of the original pioneers of mobile phones, Nokia, has taken a back seat. But their latest offering, the Nokia Lumia 800, rivals the leading smartphones and we’re happy to back it.

Dubbed one of the, if not the, best Microsoft Windows 7.5 smartphones on the market. The Lumia 800, with its sassy seamless body and competitive pricing, is Nokia’s comeback kid that will connect its users with a swish of the finger.

With Apple-esque speed, the usability will have rookies to the new breed of Nokia instantly hooked. While offering all the extras expected of a smartphone; an 8 mega-pixel camera, Internet Explorer, WiFi and HTML5, the Lumia 800 has a few new tricks too. Nokia Drive is the first free sat nav service to come bundled on any Windows Phone device, and while basic, it does get you from A to B. Nokia Music is another little gem, with dedicated radio stations offering the latest tracks packaged up in genres you’ll enjoy.

And it’s tough too. The polycarbonate chassis is difficult to shatter, while keeping a lightweight of only 142g. Coloured the whole way through, a bright cover is not a prerequisite, as the phones already beam on their own.

Are you ready to give up your iPhone or Blackberry and give the new Nokia a go? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comment box below.
