Towards the end of 2016, property development firm Blok launched Konnect, a design network initiative that collaborates with local designers to create exclusive products.

The Spring 17 collection is now here, featuring a much wider range of products, centred around the themes of Moving, Waiting and Sitting.

Falling under the Moving category, you’ll find Kiaat timber beach bats by Jasper Eales, while the Waiting category includes scented candles by Aromalogo, black clay ceramics by Munnike, raw slate coasters by Muse, sculptural lighting by Holly Hamlyn, artworks by Gwen van Embden and City Guide prints from Blank Ink Design. The Sitting category features photography by Russell Smith, as well as cushions and a drinks trolley by Muse Collective.

Property development firm Blok recently launched Konnect, a new design network initiative collaborating with a group of talented local designers.

Four local designers/studios, namely Jasper Eales Original, North Ltd, Stockton and Matblac, have each created a selection of everyday pieces unique to Konnect.

The pieces include:

• Climb by Jasper Eales Original – Made with compact living in mind, this multi-purpose design is a bike rack, shelf, bookend, hat/coat hook and a light all in one.
• Sofa Saddle by Matblac Studios – Available in black and brown leather, this piece allows you to neatly store handy day-to-day living room essentials.
• Roll Up and Lay Out by Stockton – Available in black and chestnut, Roll Up is a nifty leather carrier, ideal for transporting yoga mats and picnic blankets. Lay Out features two handcrafted placemats that are simple to clean.
• Roca, Bau and Loop by North Ltd – Roca and Loop are hand-stitched chairs, while Bau is a stool that can be used on both sides. All are available with a brass-plated frame in black leather or a light powder-coated frame in tan leather.

The Gin Table came as a result of using off-cuts from previous Blok developments.
