VISI Great Spaces Tours gives you the opportunity to experience the places featured in the magazine for yourself!

With 30 tours of fabulous spaces we feature in each issue of VISI under the belt, we figured it was time to take them to the next level, starting with a tour of the glorious Boschendal Farm Estate plus a visit to the newly launched Boschendal at Oude Bank in Stellenbosch.

Join us on a tour of Boschendal Estate followed by a wine tasting at Boschendal at Oude Bank in Stellenbosch on Saturday 19 May 2018.

Starting at 10 am at The Werf Restaurant on Boschendal Estate, we will enjoy bubbles and canapés before embarking on a tour of the estate’s impressive gardens, a visit to the pigs and piglets, and a walking tour of the Werf on the farm.

At 12:30 we will depart for Oude Bank in Stellenbosch for a wine tasting, where all attendees will receive a parting gift courtesy of Boschendal.

The morning tour allowed VISI readers to meet VISI’s Deputy Editor Annemarie Meintjes, design maverick Gavin Rooke (one of the driving forces behind Stand 47) and Stand 47 architect Karlien Thomashoff.

After exploring the house with a glass of Graham Beck Brut and a slice of chocolate cake in hand, readers were treated to a thorough overview from Gavin and Karlien about the history of Stand 47, what drove the project, what materials and design thinking went into the house, as well as what the outcomes were, both expected and unexpected.

With opportunities to ask questions of Annemarie, Gavin and Karlien, readers were not only able to experience a great space that VISI so enjoyed profiling, but also find out how to build a similar house themselves.

As a parting gift, readers took home the latest issue of VISI and a bottle of Graham Beck Brut.
