Local design studio Chapel Goods, which has been manufacturing bags at its Woodstock studio in Cape Town since 2009, has launched a brand-new collection of bags, entitled Sahara.

Founder Caleb Pedersen, who describes the collection as being “designed for the city, inspired by the bush,” says, “Our newest collection was born out of our love for the bush. We have designed bags that celebrate taking off on a safari or heading to work.”

Made from heavyweight canvas, each classic bag, which comes with a lifetime guarantee, is waterproof and hard-wearing, with trimmings and handles made from genuine leather. “Every bag has sufficient pocket space for your essentials,” says Caleb.
