Here at VISI HQ we’re mesmerised by Bisazza’s new range of marble tiles, the Marmo Collection.

Geometric shapes – squares, hexagons, rhombuses, slats, trapezoids and triangles – have been used to great effect in Bisazza’s Marmo collection of marble tiles in 16 polychrome patterns inspired by traditional stone flooring. One of the coolest patterns is the Domiziana design, which features hexagonal and trapezoidal shapes and comes in two colours, Giada (jade) and Basalto (basalt).

Italian brand Bisazza’s glass mosaic tile collections are known for being romantic, edgy, extravagant and breathtaking. Its 2016 collection is no exception.

This year, glass mosaic tile pioneer Bisazza has broadened and enriched its offering with new designs by prominent designers such as Carlo Dal Bianco, Marcel Wanders, Studio Job, Jaime Hayon and Tricia Guild. Romance and magnificent detail are distinctive traits of the patterns presented for the highly anticipated new mosaic collection.

Bisazza Mosaico’s 2016 collection is predominantly inspired by the world of flowers, presented in a classic yet contemporary way. Other elements that influenced the themes for the 2016 collection are graphic motifs, sleek lines, squares, polka dots, multi-coloured patterns and bold colour combinations.

A mosaic in the Neo-Gothic style by Belgian duo Studio Job – called Perished – features animal skeletons caught in a fanciful “dance of death”. The design is available in black-and-white and in rose gold, which was created using rose-gold mosaic tiles. One of our favourite designs in the new collection is Jardin Gris by Spanish designer and architect Patricia Urquiola, which reflects 18th-century scenes of rural life. Through a contemporary lens, she interprets one of the best-known themes from the French textile tradition of the 1700s: Toile de Jouy.

Bisazza tiles are available locally from Tactile, which has a showroom in Woodstock.
