The Wavescape Surf and Ocean Festival once again presents the Art Board Project, which sees 11 local artists transform wooden boards into works of art.

Each board is crafted by the youth involved with the 9 Miles Project, an upliftment organisation that uses surfing as its main tool.

Artists involved in the Art Board Project include Ruby Swinney, Eric Karangwa, Sue Williamson, Chris Slabber, Paul Senyol, Kirsten Beets, Swain Hoogervorst, Andrew Sutherland, Chris Soal, Lionel Smit and Brett Murray.

The adorned boards are currently on exhibition at Jack Black’s Taproom (10 Brigid Road, Diep River) and the boards will be auctioned off on Wednesday 28 November 2019 to raise money for ocean-related charities.
